Elizabeth Kinney
Elizabeth Kinney is a well versed cello teacher and performer. She moved to the Rochester area in October 2010. She studied with Mark Churchil and Karen Kadaravek in the Boston area. A founding member, Elizabeth played with the New Philharmonia Orchestra from 1995 – 2010. She has also performed with the Symphony Pro Musica, Boston Chamber Ensembles, Sudbury Savoyards and the GBYSO. Since coming to Western New York, Elizabeth has enjoyed playing with the Greece Symphony Orchestra, the Genesee Symphony, the U of R Medical Orchestra, and the Brighton Symphony Orchestra among others.
Elizabeth is happy to take on both beginning and intermediate cello students ranging in age from 4 to adult. She teaches out of her home off Calkins Road in Pittsford. In addition to teaching and performing with larger groups, Elizabeth performs at weddings or other events where a solo or small ensemble is required.
