Linda Louise Ford

Linda L. Ford attended Eastman School of Music, studying with Oliver Steiner . Mrs. Ford’s Suzuki violin pedagogy training was with Anastasia Jempelis who studied directly with Shinichi Suzuki and at Ithaca College’s Summer Teacher Training. She studied with Mimi Zweig at Indiana University’s Violin and Viola Retreats for String Teachers in 2008 and 2009. She has SAA courses completed in Books 1-4. Her philosophy of violin teaching is derived from the ideas of Shinichi Suzuki, Paul Rolland, Oliver Steiner and Mimi Zweig. She has studied folk fiddle with Barbara Lamb, Alasdair Frasier, Maire Breatnacht, Laurie Hart , Fletcher Bright, Bruce Molsky and Laura Risk. She teaches using a flexible approach to suit the strengths, challenges and interests of the student. Mrs. Ford teaches at her home studio and welcomes children as well as adult learners.
