Miriam Kruppenbacher

Miriam Kruppenbacher received her BMus in Music Education/violin from Houghton College and her MMus in the same from the University of Akron. Her years of experience as a public school string teacher, NYSSMA string judge, private instructor, All-County Orchestra guest conductor, active free-lance performer, and mom to two violinists all provide a balanced perspective to her string instruction.

Mrs. Kruppenbacher performs regularly as principal 2nd violinist in Penfield Symphony, in the Cordancia Chamber Orchestra, and with Genesee Valley Orchestra and Chorus. She has also played locally with the Rochester Oratorio Society and the Rochester Women’s Philharmonic, and previously played regularly with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic

Miriam teaches out of her Fairport home, where she lives with her husband, 2 daughters and adorable sheltie. She welcomes students of all ages and has experience instructing students ranging from pre-school to retirement age! Her students perform each year in a community service recital at a local nursing home, at NYSSMA solo festivals, and in a spring recital.
